The gameplay trailer and release date for IO Interactive and Amazon’s eagerly anticipated James Bond video game, “007 First Light,” was revealed Wednesday, along with the news that “Dexter: Original Sin” and “The OA” star Patrick Gibson will be voicing the iconic British Secret Service agent.
The game, an origin story for Bond, will launch March 27, 2026.
The standard edition (for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S consoles, and for PC via Steam and the Epic Store) and physical-only “Specialist” version (which is compatible with Nintendo Switch 2, alongside PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S) of “007: First Light” are both priced at $69.99. A limited-edition “Legacy” package is set at $299.99.
From publisher IO Interactive, Amazon MGM Studios and Delphi, “007 First Light” is promoted as “a thrilling narrative action-adventure game.”
Per the title’s description, “Follow James Bond as a young, resourceful, and sometimes reckless recruit in MI6’s training program, and discover an origin story of the world’s most famous spy.”
Along with Gibson, the voice and motion-capture cast for “007 First Light” includes Priyanga Burford as M, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, Kiera Lester as Miss Moneypenny, Lennie James as Bond’s mentor, John Greenway, and Noemie Nakai as Miss Roth.

Amazon Games Montreal has revealed the trailer for their debut title, “March of Giants,” a free-to-play 4v4 War MOBA for PC that is in early development. Players in the United States, Canada and Mexico can begin to request access to participate in the playtest, which will run from Sept. 2 to Sept. 14.
Set against the backdrop of a ravaged urban battlefield in the early 1900s, “March of Giants” will take players to the role of towering Giants in the final battle of a century-long conflict. The game will allow players to command thousands of soldiers in battle within the framework of competitive MOBA gameplay.
“March of Giants” will include various mechanics, such as the option to play as a giant, leading soldiers or directing them to fight enemies, and the chance to strategize and build tactical structures throughout the game.
Previously, the closed alpha testing was set to end on Sept. 10, but was extended for a longer window.

NEWLY ANNOUNCED GAMES
New Roblox game “Winx Club: Magix” will debut Sept. 15 on the gaming platform. From studio Rainbow SpA, the title is based on the upcoming Netflix animated series based on the “Winx “characters.

“Hello Kitty Skyland,” a new social VR game from Thirdverse, Co., Ltd. and Sanrio Company, Ltd., will debut with an early access release at the end of 2025.
Set in the virtual world of Skyland, the VR game allows players to interact with Sanrio characters, enjoy multiplayer experiences, craft items and customize their personal space and avatar. Players can also switch freely between distinct avatar styles.
Additionally, applications for the “Hello Kitty Skyland” Creator program are now open.
EVENTS
Annapurna Interactive announced it will make its first-ever appearance in the Tokyo Game Show, a video game exposition and convention held annually in September.
This year’s event will take place from Thursday, Sept. 25, to Sunday, Sept. 28. At the Annapurna Interactive booth, attendees will have the chance to experience three unannounced titles scheduled for release in 2026 and beyond. Additionally, playable demos of other Annapurna titles like “LEGO® Voyagers,” “Stray” and “Outer Wilds” will also be available.

At this year’s Roblox Developers Conference, the gaming platform announced its latest innovations to enhance the player’s experience.
In addition to launching their beta of “Moments,” Roblox announced the introduction of AI tools and an assistant to accelerate creation, a series of text-to-speech and speech-to-text APIs for a more interactive experience, an upgraded assistant in Roblox Studio and scalable lightweight interactive models.
The availability of two features, server authority and custom matchmaking, was also confirmed as new tools to create competitive experiences and publish them at a quicker rate without spending time re-creating similar solutions.
For safety measures, Roblox announced that it will be requiring age estimation for all users who access its on-platform communication features by the end of the year. They’ll also launch new systems designed to limit communication between adults and minors unless they know each other in the real world.
Additionally, the gaming platform plans to increase the developer exchange rate for all creators, which will now be 8.5% more when turning earned Robux into cash.

Twitch will launch its first mass-participation Catan tournament, “Twitch Plays Catan,” on Sept. 9.
The experience will allow thousands of participants on the streaming service to play the iconic board-turned-online game together through Twitch Chat. Players will compete on a custom version of the game and the tournament will stream on Twitch.tv as well as the players’ personal channels. Viewers will also be able to participate by making suggestions and guiding trades through a real-time chat
Twitch launched the tournament in partnership with Charles Schwab. Notable players will include Twitch streamers Sacriel, ChrissyOfficial, Lunity, DanGheesling, KhleoThomas, Ciarratonin and BonsaiBroz as well as NBA Indiana Pacers player, Aaron Nesmith.
The first two rounds of the tournement will stream between 6:00pm and 10:00pm Eastern Time on Sept. 9, with the Final round taking place the following night from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.

“The Sims” has revealed a new trailer for “The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack,” set to release on Oct. 2 for EA app, Epic Games Store and Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One systems.
The expansion pack will allow players to create their Sims to break free from everyday life to discover, explore and nurture their spirit of play with various new nobbies, a new set of custom venues, Getaways and more.
Sims can also learn new skills such as archery and paper crafting. The expansion pack will also allow for sims to escape to a new custom revitalized fitness retreat, where new adventures can be customized and created.

“Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants” has launched and is currently available worldwide.
The game follows the adventures of Indiana Jones on a new treasure hunt after encountering Father Ricci, a young priest desperate to track down a Roman artifact.
According to the game synopsis, “Indy must face the sinister plots of Emperor Nero and his gladiator games, the enigmatic Cult of Mithras, and whatever else lurks in the shadows. Ubisoft announced the “Discovery Tour App: Medieval Baghdad,” a free mobile experience that immerses players in 9th-century Baghdad during the Abbasid Empire.
The new app is available for free through the App Store and the Google Play Store and can also be used on any device through a web browser. The “Discovery Tour App: Medieval Baghdad” allows users to explore this lost city, a former capital for political, scientific, cultural, and commercial advances, through two different modes: Access Codex and Explore Baghdad.
Access Codex provides players with carefully selected encyclopedic entries on the history, art and culture of medieval Baghdad and the Abbasid Caliphate. Explore Baghdad is a gamified, narrative-driven journey that takes approximately 2 hours to complete. Players are tasked to collect Codex entries through a series of mini games and 360° exploration.

Roblox is rolling out its new beta experience, “Moments,” that allows users to capture, edit and share their gameplay moments on Roblox.
The new feature promises to immerse users in gameplay by enabling them with tools like “Captures API,” which is currently available and allows players to record moments inside a creator’s experience as well as customizable prompts.
Users will soon be able to publish and share their captured content through “Upload API” as well as integrate custom, content-based features directly into their own experiences from “Recommendation API.”
Creators can use these API’s with highlight reels, in-game discovery, in-experience fashion showcases and more.

Ubisoft has announced that “Star Wars Outlaws” is now available on Nintendo Switch 2.
The game is also available on Ubisoft+, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Amazon Luna, and Windows PC through the Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store and Steam.
Game players will join Kay and Nix as they fight, steal and outwit their way through the galaxy’s crime syndicates and join the galaxy’s most wanted.
Nintendo Switch 2 users can experience new features, including intuitive touch controls for menu navigation and select minigames, gyroscope-assisted aiming, an optimized handheld mode and immersive motion controls for key gameplay features.
