Filmmaker duo Kentucker Audley and Albert Birney have signed with Gersh for representation in all areas.
The actor-writer-directors kicked off their partnership with Sylvio, about a small-town gorilla joining a local TV show, only to see on-air mishaps spark a journey of self-discovery. The film bowed at SXSW in 2017.
Their follow up Strawberry Mansion, which Birney and Audley wrote, directed and produced, was a futuristic fantasy-romance centered on a man and the woman whose dreams he is tasked with auditing. The film debuted at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival ahead of a release by Music Box Films.
Their next feature, which again mashes varied cinematic forms and techniques, is Super Delights. The film portrays a married couple balancing their dreams of becoming full-time artists with a desire to have children, only to get a surreal opportunity to do both by winning a supermarket game show.
Birney’s recent solo feature, Obex, is a surreal fantasy pic that premiered at Sundance 2025 and portrays a reclusive gamer whose search for his missing dog blurs the line between reality and fantasy. Oscilloscope acquired Obex ahead of a theatrical release.
Alongside Gersh, Birney and Audley are represented by Fusion Entertainment.
